There’s so many apps that help make our daily tasks that bit easier and luckily for you we’ve put together a list of the best apps that will help you to move house.

1. Move Advisor

The first app on our list is Move Advisor which makes moving home a lot more structured. The app contains 4 key components: Moving Timeline, Home Inventory, Movers around You, and Get a Quote. The Moving Timeline offers a very detailed checklist and organises it into a week-by-week schedule making it easier to manage your time more efficiently. You can tick off each task as you go and add any notes of your own making it personalised to you. The Home Inventory allows you to add the rooms in your home on to a list and select the pieces of furniture present in each. The app then calculates exactly how many boxes your move will require which will make it easier when speaking with the removal company. The last two features are pretty self-explanatory as they find removal companies and send you quotes from each based on the information from the app.

2. UNPAKT

The next app on our list is UNPAKT which is ideal for planning, booking and managing your move. The app will prompt you to enter a few details about the move including the address, the date you wish to move, whether you need storage etc. Then, similar to the Move Advisor app, it will ask for your inventory which you can add to at any time. Finally, the app will provide you with a list of verified removal services with guaranteed prices so you know that the figure you’re agreeing to will not change. The app is really easy to use and it makes it much easier to organise hiring a removal firm.

3. UK Mortgage Calculator

Next is the UK Mortgage Calculator app which provides you with up to date mortgage information.  It can be confusing when looking for your first home as there’s so many words you won’t have come across before but this app makes everything easier. Find out how much you can borrow, calculate monthly repayments, and get comparisons as well as information on buy-to-let mortgages. This way you will have all the right information before you start looking for a new property online.

4. Offer Up

Finally, we have Offer Up, an app that allows you to buy and sell locally. By putting things up for sale that you don’t necessarily want to move to the new home, you can save so much money as you’re not paying for the cost of moving it and in turn you might even make some money from each item sold. The app allows you to declutter your home which will also use less boxes and overcome the issue of waste. Other apps including Depop and Gumtree are also good for selling unwanted items.
